Beware of those who gossip

Beware of those who gossip. They are distributors of germs which are very hard to annihilate. Dark forces work through gossipers to create disturbances in the hearts and minds of people. Do not encourage gossipers by listening to them. They will talk the same way about you to others. Gossipers are sick people. Their heart center is covered in a gray mist, and their consciousness is in the process of degeneration.

There is a service you can do for those who gossip:

a. Ask if they are perfect.
b. Ask if they have things in their nature which are vulnerable.
c. Ask if they really know who they are.
d. Ask if they have the same character as their victims.
e. Ask the reason why they want to gossip.
f. Ask them to go and talk to their victims.

With these six questions you will unveil their true face.

When you forget to meditate for a few days...

Regular meditation disciplines your bodies. It disciplines your nervous system, heart, and brain. It disciplines your emotional body, and it makes your mental body focused, concentrated, awake, and creative.

When you forget to meditate for a few days, the old habits of your bodies return. Your emotional habits sneak in; your mind feels that it is time to be as it was before -- scattered, unfocused, rebellious, and foggy. Then when you resume your meditation, you have a hard time because you must fight against the limitations of your bodies. Eventually you will give up under the pressure of your age-long habits.

An organized and progressive mind creates an organized and progressive life

As we leave behind our psychological childhood and feel relatively mature, we begin to realize that our life is the reflection of our consciousness. Life is the result of how we think and where our consciousness is. An organized and progressive mind creates an organized and progressive life.

When we speak about meditation, we are trying to prevent a great danger

When we speak about meditation, we are trying to prevent a great danger into which humanity is already entering. This danger is that of becoming machines through which other people think, speak, and act. The majority of humanity is now falling into this danger.

Meditation makes a person a free thinker. Through meditation, he not only thinks, but he also evokes intuitive light. Intuitive light gives him direction. Thinking enables him to follow the direction he chooses without being influenced by others.

The enemies of humanity, those criminals whose only aim is to satisfy their own vanities, are eager to attack those who know how to think. They try by all possible means to turn people into machines that have no will or direction so that they can use them any way they want. Meditation protects us from falling into such a trap because through meditation, we develop our thinking. Through thinking one can see things as they are, and with intuition he can penetrate into the motives of people's hearts.

Try to be graceful

Gracefulness creates bridges between people. It is magnetic. It evokes the beauty, the goodness, the talents, the hidden potentials in the people and brings them out.

Sometimes when you speak with your wife, with your children, with your friends, ask yourself, "Am I graceful or not," because people think that if you are tough and brutal, you are man, you have strength. It is just the contrary. The most powerful man is so graceful. I know from my Teachers. They were sometimes six, seven feet tall. They were so powerful physically, emotionally mentally, and they were so graceful in their movements, in their speech, in their voice.

Gracefulness channels healing energy to other people and into your aura. Try not to be "macho." Try to be graceful. One day a family came to me. The husband and wife hated each other. Eventually I solved their problems and then the man said to his wife, "Come here." He pulled his wife over and gave her a rough hug. I said, "What are you doing?" "That is my way to show love." "But look at your wife. You squeezed her to death. Be a little graceful." Gracefulness brings out the fragrance from other people. Gracefulness brings out the fragrance hidden in other people.

Try to be graceful. It is very difficult for some people to be graceful. Those who have difficulty in being graceful, think about gracefulness and watch your actions. See how beautiful you will feel, how healthy you will feel, and this is not exaggeration.

Exercise to overcome habits

Habits are dispersed by the energy of freedom which can be evoked from our Soul. The energy of freedom is a special energy that comes from the Intuitional Plane and is directed by the human soul living in the higher mental plane. He can take this energy and release it on any habit pattern and slowly dissolve it.

We can invoke the energy of freedom by using the following visualization exercise:

1. Sit as relaxed as you can.
2. Visualize three blue stars in a triangle above your head. See at the center of this triangle an orange-blue flame. See a ray of energy branching out from the flame, linking the three stars.
3. Visualize your habit in action, or forming an event.
4. Visualize the stars and see the energy of the stars forming a fiery arrow.
5. Let the energy of the fiery arrow hit the habit in action, or the event created by the habit, and see the habit or event dissolve or evaporate.

This is a very potent energy called the energy of freedom. It releases the prisoner -- the human soul -- from the habit. Whatever is limiting a person is a habit in the process of forming. Do not let it form. Melt it away; disperse and annihilate it. Through such a simple method one can overcome the habits of smoking, drinking, improper sexual habits, certain eating habits, and habits of thinking, feeling, and acting.

Most sicknesses in the body are due to our habits. Habits weaken our organs and glands. Certain habits burn the tissues and nerve endings. Others petrify the tissues and nerve endings and make them unable to maintain their original functions or become particularly susceptible to germs. Habits create disharmony in the system and violate the freedom of the human soul.

A fiery soul must spread fire

A fiery soul must spread fire, and because of him the members of his family, his associates, his co-workers, and his friends must feel the urge to improve, to be beautiful, righteous, noble, and joyful. If a person thinks that he is fiery but he has no effect on the lives of others, he is a self-deluded person.

Fire manifests as wisdom, as light, as love, as energy. It is impossible to resist fire. Fire eventually destroys hindrances and releases the jewel in the core.

Your children and your friends must enjoy and even look for your fire. Life on this planet is pretty cold. The frost of hatred, malice, slander, crime, terrorism, poverty, hunger, loneliness, and so on are all the result of the absence of fire. Once people feel that you are a fire, they will come to you to feel warm. All Great Ones attracted millions of people because of Their fire. It is through Their fire that They initiated a process of transmutation all over the world.

The fire within us eventually brought us into the human kingdom. What a privilege it is to be human! This means that we worked so hard for centuries to break through and enter the human kingdom. It is the same fire within us that will eventually make another major breakthrough and lead us into the Kingdom of God where we will live as souls, as flames.

Meditation is dangerous if a person is in conflict with himself

Meditation is dangerous if a person is in conflict with himself, with the goal he aspire to or he believes in, or with what he tells others to do.

Such a double standard creates complicated tension within a person's consciousness and within the electrical system of his etheric, emotional, and mental bodies. It also creates dangerous cleavages in his being. If a person continues to meditate under such circumstances, he widens the cleavages and increases the conflict, which culminates in the total exhaustion or destruction of the person.

Inner conflict weakens a person to such a degree that he begins to hate the Teaching, meditation, and spiritual discipline. Things lose their value when they do not affect and change our lives or when they do not become part of our real being.

Meditation creates a very important kind of tension

There was a girl who was a beautiful singer, yet there was something lacking in her voice. Although outwardly everything about her was beautiful, her voice did not move the hearts of others. I suggested to her that she practice meditation, and she took the advice. Six months later she gave another recital, and this time the audience was thrilled. There was an electrical charge present in her voice that had never been there before. Until she practiced meditation, her voice came from her solar plexus, as it may come from the lungs, from the heart or emotions, or from the throat. Now her voice comes from her soul and has great power to inspire others.

Meditation creates a very important kind of tension, an accumulation of tremendous energy in the mind that is harmonized and used in mental and higher spheres for creative work and for the benefit of humanity.

Joy is the victory of Spirit over problems

What is real joy? What are your sources of joy? Are you joyful at all? If not, why not? Are you able to give joy to others, or are you burdening them with yourself? There are many people who are a burden to others, offering only their criticism, miserableness, and meanness. Can you uplift them, or are you one of them? Through this questioning process, you open your mind.

To find the strength to overcome any crisis, we need great joy. We must meditate on joy because joy brings us energy and increases the quality of our meditation and, thus, our problem-solving abilities. Joy is the victory of Spirit over problems.

Meditation cures many psychological problems

Meditation also cures many psychological problems. A lady came to see me because she had undertaken many medical examinations, as well as psychological and psychiatric testing, without successfully finding the cause of her depression. Although the doctors were able to give her condition many interesting new names, she was still depressed. After she discussed her problems with me, I said to her, "Do you know why you are depressed? Just think about this and you will be surprised. Your depression is the result of having a great vision and not being able to actualize that vision." She began to cry when she realized how true this was.

When a person's soul begins to respond to the vision that life as he knows it is not all there is to life, that he is living in misery but something else is calling him, he becomes depressed. He sees the mess and deplores it, but he is, nevertheless, living in it. At this point the Spirit rebels and exerts a powerful pressure upon the personality. This is experienced as depression.

The solution is meditation: the technique of slowly allowing oneself to fuse with his vision and actualize it. The more able a person is to actualize his vision, the happier he becomes. His labor and enthusiasm increase, and he finds that he no longer has the time nor inclination to be depressed.

People often think that the vision is "somewhere out there," but it is not. The vision we sense is within us; it is our Inner Glory, our potential for spiritual bliss. When one brings this into actualization, he is never depressed because the Spirit is incapable of depression. It is the Almighty Presence which is everywhere, in everything. How could Divinity be depressed?

Meditation has enormous healing power

Meditation has enormous healing power because it leads to contact with the source of all healing: the Almighty One. God is Power -- pure energy -- and if you contact Him, you can heal yourself and solve your own problems. Meditation, if practiced correctly, takes you to the source of life within you and releases that light into your whole system. For example, many times I have had trouble with my digestive system. If I meditate for half an hour, everything becomes normal again.

When people flatter us, how can we stop that from building our ego?

Q: When people flatter us or give us compliments, how can we stop that from building our ego?

A: You cannot stop the person. The person will say, "I love you. You are so beautiful." You give cars to them. You write letters to them to flatter them. It is disgusting. You encourage them in their attitude. You must watch yourself. You cannot control others.

You must watch your reaction, whether you are responding or reacting. In this case you must react. You must say, "I am not really that man whom you are praising."

A wise man said, "Whenever a man praises me, I remember my sins." You remember your sins -- for example, when someone is saying to me, "You are the most wonderful this and that," I remember what I did wrong in the past. I say, "Ah, this is false praise." You escape that way. You do not listen to that anymore. Why are you flattering me? "You are the most honest man." Really? Maybe I did in the past many dishonest things. I remember that. When I remember, I do not pay attention to their flattery. This is the first practical answer.
