Emotions must be improved. Relationships must be improved, but they do not improve until through your relationship, through your communication you try to manifest God within you. That is the secret. Meditation is to open the channel of your spirit in your emotions so that spirit manifests itself. This is creativity, creativity in all your actions, emotions, and thoughts to manifest your divine visions, your divine beauty.
People think that if they paint a picture they are creative people. What if you make a family that is the best family? That is better creativity. When your five children are doctors, lawyers, beautiful people, what a beautiful life you have created. You are a great artist! But if you are a musician and on the other side your sisters are prostitutes, your brothers are bums, and so on, you never created anything. Real creativity is the manifestation of Divinity, the Glory that is within you in your actions, emotions, and thinking.

Meditation is to make your thoughts clean
Meditation is to make your thoughts clean, real, inclusive, beautiful, loving, creative, cooperative, harmonious. What can you say better than that?
For example, you are thinking about your husband. "He is this, he is this. I hate him." Well, sit down and change it. "He is beautiful, he is healthy, he does not smoke, he does not drink, he is not in prostitution. I love him." What are you doing? You are changing the direction of your car. Instead of brooding, increasing the vipers in your mind, you start thinking about beautiful things for your wife or husband, for your children, for everybody. When your thoughts are dirty your emotions are dirty and your actions are dirty. There is no cooperation; there is no health and happiness within you.

Reading will not help you if there is no meditation
Reading will not help you if there is no meditation. Reading is like eating without digestion. You eat and eat and say, "I am a professor." You collected everything but you are not assimilating. Assimilation means that you use the materials that you are putting in your stomach and make them help you to grow.
Look what is happening. Everybody is preaching Jesus Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Moses, but our humanity is sinking into darkness, hatred, revenge, destruction, horror. Why? It is because they have it all in their mental stomach. Their Bible is in their mind but there is no digestion.
Through meditation you become intelligent because your mind is now opening into the Mind of the Universe.

The first indication that you are entering into your divine nature
The first indication that you are entering into your divine nature, your divine heritage, is to demonstrate the sense of responsibility. When you are talking, thinking, acting, relating with each other, doing things for yourself and others, you have a sense of responsibility. The sense of responsibility is a feeling that you must be and act in a way that somebody else is safe, progressive, and unfolding.
In your offices, your schools, your hospitals, if you do not have the sense of responsibility, it is in chaos. If you go to the doctor and he does not have any sense of responsibility about your health and happiness and future, you are in danger. The first sign that you are becoming divine is that you demonstrate the sense of responsibility toward your duty, toward your relationships, toward your dreams, toward your visions.

Competition is not for disciples
Competition is not for disciples. On the contrary, as you become closer disciples to Christ, you try to make other people more beautiful than you are. You sacrifice yourself. The Tibetan Master says that disciples for a long time, even they do not progress because they have so much to do for others to make others progress that they forget totally themselves. Because of this self-forgetfulness, they take initiation without being aware that they took initiation.
If you are serving me for some reason, for some expectation, you are not going to take initiation. But if you totally forget yourself, suddenly you will find yourself in higher levels because you did it -- you forgot yourself. Competition is not for disciples, for initiations, for the spiritual path. That is the worldly path, and it is a satanic path. People do not see it because in competition they start benefiting and this benefit lures them, blinds them. Eventually what happens? Everybody loses because they are all competing.
In competition there is hatred, there is revenge, there is jealousy, there is mine and yours, there are tricks, there is violence; there are millions of things, and you are seeing it. What is the world doing now? It is competing. We are competing. Every moment it is in our bones. That virus entered. We compete. "I am talking better than she is. I am dressed better than she is. My hair is better than theirs." You are competing unconsciously. Subconsciously you are in it. You can compete with only one thing: How can I be like Christ? Compete. Come on.
