When man descended into matter and matter and matter and matter and matter, eventually he became the matter. What is resurrection? It is just the reverse. Man is going eventually to awaken and say, "I am sick of this condition." Don't you say that about your body? "I'm sick of this!" I was saying it this week. I was so sick, cold and coughing, sneezing. I said, "I am sick of this body!" Eventually when you get sick, the science of resurrection starts. Why? Because sickness creates the observation that you are not body, and you do not like the body. Immediately when you say, "I do not like you, I do not like what you are," you are separating yourself from your body. You are becoming a little more spirit than the body. That is why this life created sickness.
We do not like our emotions. Many times we say, "Why did we become angry, why did we hate, why were we jealous, why were we mixed up?" Well, it is because we were identified, and once we do not like what we were, we again pull ourselves out from that condition. Look what is happening. You are resurrecting yourself.
Then we come back and say, "Why did I think that way? Why did I organize that way? Why was my plan like that, so that it brought to me suffering and pain and anxiety? I do not like my thinking, my planning, my way of making judgments. I do not like them." Immediately you say, "I do not like what I thought," you are separating yourself from your thought, and you are looking at it. Immediately you gain the position of observer, you become resurrected.

Resurrection is victory over our nature
Resurrection is for everybody. It is not only for Christ. If you read the comparative religions and mythology, you will see we have thousands of Resurrected Ones, and you are resurrecting already. Every victory over your nature is a resurrection. If you conquer your body in five degrees, you are a five-degree resurrected one. If you conquer your habits, you are resurrecting. If you conquer emotions, your negative emotions, you are conquering. You are a resurrecting one. If you are conquering your mind, your thoughts, fear, anxieties, hatreds, glamors, illusions, vanities, ego, you are resurrecting. So again, we came to the same idea: Resurrection is victory over our nature.

The symbolism of the Easter egg
In olden days, Christians used the symbolism of the egg to represent resurrection. This is a good symbol for resurrection because man's aura is egg-shaped. Sometimes this egg-shaped aura is crystallized like an egg, and man cannot come out of it through his consciousness or striving because he is cemented in his habits, glamors, illusions, materialism, hatred, and anger. With all these things, he builds himself a real shell around himself.
When the chicken breaks the shell and comes out, it means that the spirit or the soul in the egg, which is latent and in inertia, eventually breaks his old beingness and becomes a new life. Imagine a little chicken breaking the eggshell around him and suddenly seeing the trees, the birds, and the life around it. Imagine how new everything will seem for it. In the same way, resurrection is a steady progress to break your own limitations and hangups and eventually to be born into a new life, totally different from what you were before.
The mystery of resurrection is the transformation of our lives. Eventually we will live in such a way that every year we will not be the same beings. We will be more refined. We will be in greater light and greater beauty. This is the purpose of life.

The message of the resurrection
Resurrection is victory over the mind, over your thought mechanism, victory over your thinking, so that daily not a single thought pollutes your aura or channels an evil force to the world. It is easy to hold your mouth, it is easy to hold your hand, it is easy to control your body, but can you control your thinking? Can you keep that thinking pure, really pure? Resurrection means to achieve the primordial, the essential state of your consciousness, of your beingness. When we become pure selves, we achieve resurrection.
This resurrection takes effort, takes energy, takes dedication, takes tremendous labor so that eventually you are not trapped within your body, urges, and drives, within your emotions, your negative emotions, within your irritations and fears, within your wrong thoughts. Joy is really the greatest healing power
A business can be ruined if even one key person yields himself to negativity or depression and loses his joy for his service and labor, his enthusiasm and vision. Great leaders and executives are those who in the most critical times still keep the flame of joy and hope shining in their hearts.
Joy must be introduced into schools and classes. The greater and deeper is the students' joy, the greater will be their understanding and success. My Father had a "habit." Whenever he entered his pharmacy he would ask, "How are my boys? Do they work in joy?" and when leaving the pharmacy, he used to say, "Joy be with you until I see you again."
Once he told me that the prescriptions filled under the mood of joy were more potent medicines than medicines prepared by a person in a negative mood. If any one of his workers was ever a little on the negative side, he used to call him and look in his eyes for a few minutes. Usually the person would feel uplifted.
Once a worker told me that when he started to work for my Father, the hardest thing about working in the pharmacy was being joyful all day. "But now," he said, "the hardest thing for me is to be without joy."
I wanted to know what science, psychology, and philosophy said about joy. After searching, I found very little written about joy. To my knowledge, there is not a single scientific research study about joy and what it does for the body, the emotions and the mind, as well as for plants, trees, animals, and the whole environment, which also includes groups, nations, and the whole of humanity. Joy is really the greatest healing power because it is the power of God, the power of your Spirit. You can heal yourself through increasing your joy.
I can tell you very sincerely that my body was really the weakest body, for certain reasons I do not know. But I healed myself continuously through joy. I would sit down and become joyful; ten minutes later, my pains, anxieties, and worries were gone and I was energized. You do now know how many dark arrows hit me -- gossip, slander, treason -- to make me feel smaller and smaller. One day I said to myself, "Get out of this grave!" "How?" "Through the light of joy." And I did it!`
You will notice that your joy is affected by what you do to others. If you want to be happy, you do not steal from people and kill them. Searching for happiness improves your relationships. If you want to be really joyful, then do not have hatred, fear, anger, jealousy, and revenge. But people say, "No, I want to be joyful, and in the meantime I want to hate and destroy." Eventually they find out that this does not work.
Let us say, for example, that you are feeling joyful; then the telephone rings and you start lying. Ten minutes later, you discover that your joy is gone. Satan and God cannot live together. In searching for joy, happiness, and bliss, you slowly behave and correct your life. You improve your life and make it a process of moving toward perfection.
As we move into Aquarius, all humanity has started to search for happiness. A few people who are more advanced are looking for joy and bliss. Of course, there are people who feel happy when they do something nasty to others or hurt them, but even such people are very unhappy people, even sick people. They get themselves into many kinds of trouble and problems, eventually to find that joy cannot be theirs by taking the joys of other people.
Every time we deprive other people of their joy, we record these experiences in our psyche. These experiences slowly accumulate and begin to create certain pressure in our being. Often depression and heavy grief are the result of the pressures of such accumulated expression, which become explosive.

The greatest joy is condensed in flowers. That is why people give flowers to each other. If you are sensitive, you will see how much joy there is in a rose, in jasmine and other flowers. They have condensed joy because the joy devas give their essence to flowers.

Serenity is a state of consciousness...
Serenity is a state of consciousness in which you can see exactly what the situation is around you, but if your mind is agitated, you cannot see things as they are. The reflections of a tree take the form of a snake. You see rocks in confused shapes. In fact, you cannot see anything in a river or lake if it is agitated.
What does it mean to be serene in mind? To be serene means to have a state of consciousness in which you see exactly what things are. You do not fabricate them.
Most of us fabricate. For example, "That lady didn't smile at me. I know she is going with someone else." You fabricated it. "My wife said hello to him. This means that he is in love with her." You can fabricate these things, but when you fabricate, the cause of fabrication is your agitated mind. Your mind is not serene. You do not see things as they are.

A great Avatar is working with the animal kingdom
The animal kingdom has a great manager. A great Avatar is working with the animal kingdom, as His garden, to develop them in evolution, to promote them, and eventually to graduate them from the animal kingdom. He is a great Avatar. Who very soon is going to appear and protect the animal kingdom.
What will happen if this Avatar takes us to court? I wrote about it in "Unusual Court". I asked how many lives, how many cows you ate? And why did you do that? Of course we have the vanity to understand and think that man is the king of Nature, and he can do anything he wants. What a great illusion that is; what a great deception that is. Who said we are the king? I think we are not even slaves because a king will not destroy his kingdom. Animals are so smart to live naturally, but we created an unnatural life.

Your influence is your value
The Lords of Karma register very carefully the influence people have on others. A man or a woman is a continuous influence for good or for bad.
Suppose you are an actor and you are impressing upon the minds of people how to commit crimes, smoke, use alcohol, kill, use foul language, and so on. Here, ten million people are watching you, and out of that ten million, eight million are strongly impressed to imitate you in their lives. How and by what means will you be able to clear your karma when all these people will add to the account of your karmic liabilities with their crimes?
This means that you will continuously be responsible for what they are doing and will do because of your influence. How are you going to pay your debt to such people? Thus all those who are influencing multitudes because of their position and talents must be careful not to lead people to a dead-end street or into a path leading to destruction. On the other hand, you can create a steady karmic income eternally by influencing people's lives toward perfection.
We not only influence people by what we think, say, and do, but we also influence them by what we do not think, do not say, and do not do. Your influence is your value. You did not kill a person, but you did not prevent a person from killing. Sometimes people are more guilty in not doing than in doing something. In the future we will have laws that will consider things you did not think, words you did not speak, and actions you did not take that hurt people or led them into confusion or danger.
Our progress on the path of perfection is assisted by the inspiration and impressions we give to people to walk toward beauty and light. In the darkest time of our lives such influences come out of our subconsciousness and turn into leading lights on our path.
You must be somebody in order to make another person or persons somebody. You cannot lead people by what you are not. People always need to look up to a hero. When heroes disappear from our life and schools, corruption and crime take their place. You must be an image in the memory of people for inspiration, courage, and striving. They may forget your help and your words, but they will never forget the example that you demonstrated in critical times in their lives, assisting them to overcome their troubles and limitations. Such images are blessed images that travel with us into infinity. Before he crosses the threshold, every person must feel in his heart the joy that he became a good influence in life and a way for others to achieve.
