Our service must be rooted in a sense of responsibility. The sense of responsibility is the ONLY psychic device within a person which guides his thoughts, words, and actions in harmony with the Higher Worlds.
When we serve the Self within others, we are serving God ... We must not be in a vanity that we are serving others. We are serving God within them.
