There was a lioness and this lioness was pregnant. When the time arrived, she did not have any place to have that baby except in a flock of sheep. She went there, had her baby, and ran away. The shepherd came. He said, “What a beautiful cub! This is fantastic.” And because the lion cub lived a few years with the sheep, he started to eat like a sheep, cry like a sheep, jump like a sheep. He imitated and he identified with the sheep, and he became a sheep. The shepherd was so happy that he had some kind of different sheep that was bigger and fierce, and the sheep began to play with him. Three years later, one day when the shepherd was playing his flute, suddenly he heard the roar of a lioness. Immediately this little cub raised his ears, looked around, and like an arrow he went to the mountain. He ran to his mother, and from that day on the sheep missed him.
Why did he go? This is the secret. He heard the call. Once you hear the call of your Teacher, of your Master, or that heavenly One that calls you and says, “Hey, come up to the mountain,” you go. That is your Christ within that is going to call you, to make you a lion instead of a sheep.
