Humility means having a real awareness of your limitations without the sickness of an inferiority complex

Many advanced Teachers tell us to have great and deep humility. This is the lifesaver. Some Holy Ones remember their sins and transgressions in the moments of their great achievement. Some watch the midnight  sky to see how insignificant they are. Others realize how fragile their bodies are, and how an earthquake, a flood, or a tornado can wipe them out and all their work in a second. All these Great Ones inspire us with humility. Once we realize humility and see our insignificance, then we can proceed on the path without the glamor of authority and without the illusion of power.

Our Teacher made us read a few biographies of great leaders, in which we found how some indulged in power before the day of their downfall.

Humility is the ability to see how many light years you need to really feel that you are an achieved one. This means having a real awareness of your limitations without the sickness of an inferiority complex.
